Big Girls, Small Kitchen

a guide to quarter-life cooking

9 notes

My father used to keep a travel journal that only recorded what he ate, a mindset I inherited. Among my favorites: the fried fish platter with buttered noodles at The Angry Trout in Grand Marais, Minnesota; baklava anywhere in Greece or Turkey; tartiflette filled to the brim with potatoes, bacon, and cheese in Strasbourg.

Our client Cara (of Big Girls Small Kitchen) in today’s Jauntsetter of the Week interview

Mallory found this part of the interview really romantic.  She’s now inspired to keep a travel journal herself of the food she eats abroad going forward.  It will likely read something like “candy, candy, candy” but in different languages.
